80s fashion bliss

The good thing about having two jobs is being able to buy yourself something nice every now and then. Yesterday was shoe bliss as I floated out of Journeys with two pairs of Phat Farms and a pair of Vans. The Phat Farms look like old skool L.A. Gear with the neon colors and whatnot but the Vans are plain black and oh-so-comfy. I also got a couple of pairs of leg warmers because I am reveling in the 80s comeback.
Today I am perusing the internet in search of a refurbished Nintendo because I am jonesing for some more old skool fun. I think I might wear my Phat Farms and my leg warmers while I sprawl out in my bean bag chair and geek out to Ms Pac Man or Zelda.
Total bliss.
The weather has been gray and cold this weekend, but I've been feeling okay. Mom, however, is on mood swing mode. So while I'm hunting for Duck Hunt, she's slamming stuff around and bitching at the top of her lungs about anything and everything. That actually takes me back too--hiding out (sans cute clothes) and playing Nintendo while Mom was in a mood. It puts a sad spin on my bit of nostalgia.
No matter....I'm gonna be okay. I'm upwardly mobile and in search of MTV Remote Control or one of the many Mega Men games.
